Baby Aiden made his way into this world at 2:58 am!
6 lbs 11 oz
20 inches long
He's a doll and seriously, he didn't utter ONE sound the whole time I was there. He barely even moved in my arms. He's so calm and seems to be a good sleeper already. I pray for Amanda and Wayne's sake that he is.
Congratulations, Amanda, Wayne and Gavin! I love you all!

At a Loss
Well, blogging friends....I seem at a loss lately for things to say on this blog. I know that you all are thinking "Wait a minute! She never shuts up on here!" But I mean I haven't really said anything worth reading. Nothing meaningful and helpful and encouraging has been on here for quite a while.
Since I still don't have any inspiration I'll proceed with telling you about the last few days.
After our trampoline fun on Monday I discovered a total of 22 mosquito bites on Malachi's person. I'm not even kidding. I was beginning to think he had chicken pox. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the damage because it was ROUGH looking.
Last night we had Amanda, Wayne and Gavin over for supper. If you all remember, they are expecting Baby Aiden soon. I fixed creamy tacos and brownies and it was seriously the most simple meal ever but they thanked me and complimented the food about 10 times. It made me feel very appreciated! I think I'll have them over more often. Ha!
So, anyway. Wayne got in the floor and played with the kids and they had a blast.
Malachi was like a leach on Gavin
and Kari kinda flitted around everywhere to make sure she didn't miss out on anything. Poor Amanda...I pray that the Lord lets Aiden come quickly because she starts back to school today and I think she said her students arrive next week. YIKES!! Teaching high school kids and being 38 weeks pregnant? I pity her.
After a little play time on the swing set
it was almost bedtime. I'm so glad I got to spend some time with them before the baby comes. Although I must say that things will be even more exciting when there's a new baby to hold!
I guess that's all for today...I'm praying for some inspiration. I think sometimes we need encouragement ourselves in order to encourage others. Praying about that too. :)

Jumpoline Fun!
First of all, does anybody like my new blog look? Because I just LOVE it! I was so excited to pull it up this morning and see all the new stuff that Jess created for me. She is terrific and I really think she should start her own business! :) Thank you, Jess for making my blog perfect for me! I was in a panic when I came in yesterday and saw it! Yikes! You rescued me AGAIN and I appreciate it very much.
The kids and I had a pretty lazy evening. I worked a little around the house and then we stepped outside on our porch to work in the flowers. Kari helped me weed the flower bed and then wondered off to the trampoline, aka the jumpoline. Malachi followed and before long you could hear them laughing all over the neighborhood. It made my heart happy to hear my babies giggling and having fun. I took pictures until Kari begged me to jump with them.
God knew what He was doing when He blessed me with these two munchkins. They can make me smile and laugh quicker than anything!
When we finally finished jumping, this is what the kids looked like! Obvious signs of fun, I'd say.
One more thing before I go for the day. Aunt Ellie got the results back from her surgery. She does have cancer but it doesn't seem to be as bad as they initially thought. She still has a ways to go before she's even fully recovered from the surgery so please pray for her as she begins treatment. She has a long road ahead and needs strength and courage that only comes from the Lord!

Energy Saver Lightbulbs
Friday night, Kari decided she would just stay with Memaw instead of coming home. Me and Malachi had to fill our time without Sissy and it was very different!
We had so much fun though and were in the bed early! Aunt Lacey and I did the 5k walk Saturday morning while Uncle Chris kept Malachi.
Let me just insert here that I'm very grateful for Uncle. He is so good to my kids and to me as well. He's definitely the best brother in law EVER. He helps me keep my yard looking beautiful and helps when there are "manly" things that need done around the house. Like fixing my shower when it was leaking, fixing my kitchen sink when the knob messed up and removing snakes and critters like that from my property. He hasn't had to do that yet but I'm sure he will do it if the situation ever presents itself.
I mentioned Uncle because of something funny that happened last night. Well, actually it wasn't that funny. Lacey and Uncle came down so that I could help Lacey study for her Compass test coming up this week. After we'd had enough brain-freezing math, Lacey decided to play ball with the kids. Then Uncle joined in the fun and was raising the huge bouncy ball above Lacey's head in an attempt to scare her with it and accidently hit the lightbulb in the ceiling fan and THEN.....complete silence. Seriously. And that rarely happens in our house. The silence went on for several seconds and was finally broken by Kari's terrified cries. (She thought we had "bwoke the ceiling san") When we finally came out of our trance....glass. Everywhere. On Lacey's clothes, hair, on the floor, in the kitchen, on the couch and even on Malachi! We went into 55th gear then and grabbed shoes and kids and the vacuum cleaner. Boy, did Uncle ever vacuum.
I think between the two of us we vacuumed the floor 3 times!! Just FYI: the new energy saver light bulbs shatter into 1000's of pieces. They may save you $1.33 every year but I think I might go back to the olduns.
So, all things considered, we had another blessed weekend. :)
(BTW, this blog is under construction AGAIN. Hopefully things will be normal again in a few days.)

TGIF!!!
I say it with gusto and with fervor:
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY.
Kari is currently at work with Memaw and I'm sure she's having a blast. Malachi is with Gammy and Pappy today and I'm sure he's also having a blast. I'm at work today and I'm so excited.
Obviously, I'm kidding. I guess I'll just say that I'm thankful that I have a job, I'm not working 2nd or 3rd shift in a factory, my bills are paid, I have groceries and I have gas in my vehicle. I better leave it at that.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOSHI BUG!
Last night was Latasha's birthday party at Sheila's bakery.
(I wish I knew how to get this computer to make certain words link to websites but I can't do it for some reason.)
It was so much fun and oh, the food! Jess, please don't tell anybody how much I ate. We sat at the same table and I don't think I stopped eating until I walked out the door.
I finally got to meet Baby Chase in person. He is the cuddliest baby EVER. He's so quiet and content and good....so opposite of my kids. LOL! I could have held him for hours but Latasha kept taking him from me.
I also got to spend time talking to Jess and her mom. I seriously think I talk too much so I probably talked their legs off but I enjoyed it anyway. I just hope their legs and ears are still attached this morning. Ha!
It's hard for me to believe that Latasha is already 17. She is such a good girl and I'm so proud of her. She loves the Lord and loves her family and loves Jon.
Kari had fun digging her hand in the cake before anybody else. Aunt Sheila spoils that child.
Listen, my hair was doing some crazy things so these pictures are terrible of me but I wanted to post some anyway because everybody else looked cute!
Happy Birthday, Toshi Bug!! We love you and we're so proud of you. :)
