Quick update:
Kari went home from the hospital on Saturday. She is weak and tired but eating and feeling pretty good. Her hair is continuing to fall out and they say that, although its not unheard of, it's rare to have hair loss in the maintenance phase of treatment. So I guess Kari fell into that small percentile of kids that continue to have hair loss.
She went to have her counts checked Monday and they are still not high enough for chemo to start back but they are significantly higher! PRAISE THE LORD!
Thanks so much for praying. Keep it up, please!
Praise the Lord for a bit of good news! We are praying for Kari and Mom-ma as well! What would we do without a Mom-ma's love...! Love you all bunches!!
ReplyDeleteThose pics of all of those kids "Praying for Kari" are totally awesome!! I love them!! And it was great to visit with my Possum face on Sunday....I had missed her too many!! I think she looks great considering all she's been thru....and she's just as mean as ever!! :) Love you guys, see ya again soon!!
ReplyDeletePlease tell Kari that I know a lot of people who have lost their hair and it all came back more beautiful than ever! I hope that will give her something to look forward to and not feel bad about it now. She is a BEAUTIFUL little girl, with or without her hair!!! Love & praying for you, Kari! <3 Donna Haworth
ReplyDeleteAshlee~~I've been away from the blog world for a couple of months, but had a chance to log in and catch up a little.First of all, the pics of all the kids that are praying for Kari--that's soo heart-gripping, for lack of a better word. When kids pray, they mean business, and they get heaven's attention. Kari has got a little army fighting for her! Second of all, I feel so bad that you guys have been going through this and I didn't know to join in prayer (till now):(. Even though we have never met, I feel like we are dear friends. I'm gonna get my kids praying, too! Hope to be able to update soon. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteStill continued praying for Kari. You bet.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you have your lovely girl home with you and your family.
